About This Website

This website includes some of my favourite poems by Emily Dickinson, a biography of Emily Dickinson and analysis of some of her selected poetry. I have also written an orginal poem emulating her style of writing. In this site I have also included some quotes by Emily Dickinson and intresting facts about her. As you go through the site you are able to acquaint with photos, videos and recognitions received by Emily Dickinsons.

Why Emily Dickinson?

I choose to write about Emily Dickinson because even though her poems are short they have a deep meaning. Touching, thought provoking and so very meaningful. During her lifetime she was relatively unknown as a poet but today she is considered by many as one of the best poets of English literature. I found this extremely intriguing. I enjoyed researchng about Emily Dickensen and trying to understand her poetry.
