Interesting facts about Emily dickinson 

• Her father served for a time in the House of Representatives.

• Her bedroom was above a burial ground 

• She was engaged to someone but her father was too wealthy and didn't want her to get married to a poor boy. 

• The poems that she had written were actually written in only six years, from the time of 1858 to 1864.

• When she died her poems were all put together into one book called " The Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson"
